We are thrilled to be leading an alliance of schools in our area in a research project aimed at “Closing the Gap”.
This academy/school based research project has four programmes from which to choose, all of which are based around progress in mathematics and/or reading.
The project, in association with the University of Portsmouth, has an aim of comparing “best practice” intervention within an academy/school to a pilot intervention programme provided by the University. Collaborations such as these between academies, schools and universities will embed and share best practice and help unlock the potential within our young people.
We are excited to be at the forefront of education moving forward in our Academy, and others, and know that giving our learners opportunities such as these is the way forward to become world class.
