Our NQT +1 programme targets second year teachers who are aiming to become consistently outstanding practitioners. The focus of the programme is on consolidating practice developed during the first year of teaching and introduce leadership skills.
What are the aims?
The core aim of the programme is to develop consistently outstanding learning and teaching. Further to this we aim to introduce leadership skills to support teachers as they progress further in their careers. There will be a particular focus on the leadership of learning and teaching.
Programme Structure
The programme runs over the duration of the school year. Each half term there will be a session with a different focus. It is delivered through face-to-face taught sessions.
What does it involve?
The Ignite NQT+1 programme is half termly. Each session will involve a reflection on current practice and review ways of moving forward to secure consistently outstanding practice. Central to the programme is the action plan delegates will complete each session to plan next steps.
