Ignite targets the professional development needs of teaching and non-teaching staff at all stages in their careers, from those entering the teaching profession through the senior and executive level. Through the targeted professional development of staff and nurturing of leadership talent Ignite aims develop leaders in preparation for the evolving education landscape.
We offer a comprehensive programme for staff in their first years of teaching to enable the consolidation of outstanding teaching practice and introduce the leadership of learning and teaching. In additional to offering the ITP and OTP, we are working with external organisations to bring the NCTL Modular Leadership Curriculum to Ignite to focus on the leadership development of middle and senior leaders across Ignite.
Opportunities for support staff are available through the CEBA (Certificate in Educational Business Administration), Outstanding Teaching Assistant Programme, HLTA training and targeted opportunities to share best practice through master classes.
